Chapter 06
Hyunjin pov.
"Oi Hyunjin, you know Wonyoung would be there right?" Felix said, swinging an arm around my shoulders.
"Yeah, what does that have to do with the meeting?" I asked as we made our way to the meeting room.
"Gosh, why don't you understand? Use the chance to make Y/n jealous!" Seungmin exclaimed.
"No thanks. She is not interested in me." I murmured, denying the suggestion. I have no idea why I sounded so disappointed.
"Does it mean you're interested in her? You only said she isn't interested in you, that means that if she were interested in you, you would try to get her attention and make her jealous?" I.N concluded. Urgh, why are the makenaes like this?
”I.Nie, you’re right! I think he was a bit rude to Y/n just now because he wanted to get her attention.” Felix giggled.
"Hyung, you have two pretty girls wrapped around your fingers. Before you start saying Y/n doesn't like you, I'm positive that she at least has a crush on you, you literally have these killer looks. If you insist she doesn't, then make her like you. Anddddddd it's super obvious that you have a crush on her, everyone knows, even Chan." Han giggled, making me flustered.
“Yah! Don't say that out loud. That's why you guys make me dress like that, for me to impress Wonyoung and Y/n? Wonyoung is my friend and nothing more-"
"Yup, that's why we made you dress like that. We all know Wonyoung has a thing for you but all of us prefer Y/n haha. Plus, we all know who won your heart." Changbin jumped in, making me blush even more.
“Love at first sight.” Seungmin sighed dramatically. I don’t know why, but I have a feeling that I have met Y/n before…
"Changbin get back here. Your mature enough, don't join the maknaes there." Chan warned. Changbin sighed and went back beside Chan. Lee Know looked like he wanted to join us, but he just followed Chan silently.
"Hyunjin oppa!" Wonyoung called out with her sickly sweet voice as she threw herself at me, wrapping her arms around my waist, making me stumble slightly. I was not sure about what to do, was it too rude to push her away? After all, she is my childhood friend.
The meeting room door opened, revealing Itzy and Y/n. Why did they choose to enter at this time? Y/n's eyes widened in shock, there was some other emotion in her eyes that I couldn't identify, she looked...jealous? I heard Yeji cursing and rolling her eyes beside Y/n. I blinked a few times before gently pushing Wonyoung away, however, she was still latched onto my arm, with a pout visible on her lips.
"Guys! Y/n looks so damn jealous! And also Itzy looks kinda unhappy, especially Yeji hahaha. Looks like Hyunjin is gonna get smacked by his twin later." Suengmin told Chan, earning a "Shhhh." from Chan.
"Just let them be, Chan." Lee Know told Chan, everyone is aware of Chan having a soft spot for Lee Know hyung.
"See guys, I told you Y/n has an effect on him. When Y/n came in, he immediately pushed Wonyoung away." Felix whispered from behind me.
I turned around to glare at Felix but Wonyoung pulled me back to face her, "Oppa, where have you been these two days? Wonnie missed you so much!" I cringed slightly, I could tell she changed the tone of her voice. Out of a sudden, she used her arms to pull my neck, making my lips connect with hers. My eyes widened as large as saucers as I froze on the spot, which turned out to be an error. Wonyoung thought that I was okay with that kiss and she tried to tilt her head to deepen it.
However, before she could do that, Jyp's voice could be heard, "Since everyone is present, let's start." I used that as an excuse and nudged Wonyoung away and moved to my seat beside Han, pulling Felix to my right to make sure Wonyoung wouldn't be seating beside me. Felix landed beside me with an 'oof!'.
"Now you're using me as a shield to avoid Wonyoung huh? You are worried that Y/n would not like you after seeing all that?" Felix smirked.
"Shut the * up and focus." I retorted, shifting my attention back to Y/n who looked slightly anxious. Hopefully she would be okay.
Y/n pov.
"You must be Y/n." Jyp acknowledged, with a half-smile. "Nice to meet you. Please enjoy the refreshments." Jyp continued. The drinks and pastries on the table looked delicious. However, I could not simply trust Jyp, he might have spiked the food and drinks.
"Jyp-nim." I greeted politely. "You must have called for this meeting with a reason. May I know what it is about?" I asked, trying to ignore Wonyoung trying to feed Hyunjin a red velvet cupcake which he denied.
"Miss Park, why don't you enjoy the food first?" Jyp suggested.
"Quit beating around the bush. Get to the point." I said, getting slightly impatient.
"I'm gonna get this straight, Miss Park. We would like to form an alliance with you." Jyp said, the corners of his lips twitching.
Alliance? This guy is quite difficult to understand. There's no *ing way I would agree. "What makes you think I would agree?" I said, confusion clouding my mind.
"If you join us, not only would we benefit from this, you would too. Firstly, we would be able to take down Sm and Hybe together and Yg would benefit greatly from this as their most powerful group, Blackpink, is left with two members who are overseas. Big Bang, Winner, Ikon are not as powerful and they are not as active. Treasure is usually in other countries as spies. Yg is also recovering from an attack three years ago as they lost their leader eight years ago and their other leader three years back." Jyp stated calmly while smirking.
"H-how do you know so much? It's classified i-information!" I stuttered out, worried and shocked at the same time. There is a spy in Yg. I made a mental note to tell Jennie about it later.
"I have my ways, Miss Park. That is also how I found out all your information." Jyp continued. I cringed—did he stalk me or what?
"Carry on."
"Secondly, there are people trying to track you down now and kill you like what they did to the rest of your family. There is no one to protect you right now as Jisoo and Jennie are overseas and the other gangs under Yg can do little to protect you. If you form an alliance with us, we would be able to protect you and save you from that trouble. If I go back on my word, I'm pretty sure Itzy would rip my head of, they seem to have grown quite close to you." Jyp said while glancing at Itzy. The Itzy members just nodded with a smug smile.
"The last point might be a little...emotional." Jyp spoke, carefully choosing his words. I gluped and nodded for him to continue. "From what we know about you. You have always wanted to find your parents and Chaeyoung's killer, am I right? We would assist you and help you to find the killer." As soon as the words left his mouth, the memories flashed in my mind. The screams for mercy. The blood. The scattered dead bodies. I felt myself spiralling downwards as my vision dimmed.
"Y/n are you okay?" Lia sounded very far away.
"Can't b-breathe." I rasped out.
"She is having a panic attack. Let me try." A voice said, I knew that voice, it was the beautiful voice I longed to hear. Hyunjin.
"Y/n breathe with me." Hyunjin said softly, holding my shoulders gently, pulling me back from sinking down. I held his warm hand tightly. My palm seemed to fit in his perfectly. I followed his breathing and after some time, I felt that I could breathe properly again. I slowly opened my eyes and saw a concerned Hyunjin kneeling in front of my chair.
"Oh my god Y/n you scared us." Yeji said, immediately pulling me into a quick hug.
"I'm fine, Yeji." I replied. I turned back to Hyunjin, "Thanks, Hyunjin."
"No problem. I'm glad you are okay." Hyunjin answered with a charming smile. I'm glad you are okay. His soft hair brushed my shoulder lightly as he stood up and went back to his seat. I saw his members eyeing him weirdly. I made eye-contact with a jealous Wonyoung glaring at me. *. Looks like I just made an enemy. Ryujin seemed to notice it and she whispered, "Let her be jealous."
"Pstttt Y/n jyp is waiting for your answer." Chaeryeong nudged me gently. I snapped back to look at Jyp.
"I would join you." The words rolled off my tongue smoothly.
"Welcome, Y/n." Jyp said with a proud smile on his face.
